INTRODUCTION  

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the repair, reconstruction or replacement of physical defects with the goals of restoring both form and function. It is considered a ‘head to toe’ surgical specialty with no particular anatomical boundaries. It can be part of the skin, musculoskeletal system, cranio-maxillofacial structures, hand, extremities, breast and trunk, and external genitalia. It also involves cosmetic enhancement to these areas of the body.
