Facilities and Services
The main function of CSSD is to:
a) Process and sterilize equipment and material.
b) Standardize method of sterilization and sets used.
c) Maintain an accurate record of effectiveness of cleaning, disinfecting and the sterilizing process.

CSSD provides :
a) A centralized healthcare facility for the whole hospital. 
b) Storage facility for commercially sterilized products. 
c) Supply of sterile items / materials daily. 
d) Exchange service for used instruments.

All units and departments can sent instruments/set for sterilization to CSSD 
Service, supported by other departments:
Operation theatres, Day Care Unit, Ward, Emergency Department, Labour & Delivery Department, Haemodialysis Unit and Clinic.
