Facilities & Services
The services provided by the Imaging department consist of CT Scan, Ultrasound, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, Intravenous Urography, OPG, Digital General radiography and Mobile x-rays in the emergency department and wards, C-arm in the operation theatre, and MRI at National Cancer Institute.
Services provided in this department are : a) 4 (four) general radiography units b) 1 (one) fluoroscopy unit c) 1 (one) OPG unit for maxillo-facial imaging d) 4 (four) mobile radiography units for critically ill or immobile patients in the wards and emergency department e) 2 (two) C-arm units placed in the operation theatre f) 1 (one) digital mammography unit with Stereotactic equipment g) 1 (one) CT Scan 16 slices unit h) 3 (three) Ultrasound units and 1 (one) mobile Ultrasound unit i) MRI service operated in the National Cancer Institute, available twice a week j) Diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology known as biopsy, and drainage k) All images produced by the department are in digital form and are stored in the Picture Archiving and Communication system (PACS)
The department is manned by qualified staff which consist of radiologists, medical officers, radiographers, staff nurses, together with Health Care Assistant and Administrative Assistant.
Operating hours : 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Mondays-Fridays) Emergency Services : 24 hours
