Introduction
The Oral Maxillofacial Surgery department is situated on the ground floor of the hospital and commenced its services on 1^st September, 2001. It is headed by a consultant, dental officers, dental technicians and nursing staff.

To become a centre of excellence that gives quality oral surgery services by giving priority to patients through excellent work process, being responsible, positive and progressive in a conducive environment.


Facilities and Services
Services available related to oral surgery are as follows:-
a) Treatment of oral & maxillofacial injury.
b) Minor oral surgery e.g. surgical removal of impacted teeth/retained roots.
c) Treatment and surgery for patients with special needs / medical problems.
d) Management of patients with oral & maxillofacial pathology and lesions including tumour & temporomandibular joint disorders.
e) Management of dentoalveolar / dentofacial deformities and orthognathic surgeries.
f) Maxillofacial prosthesis, preprosthetic surgery and dental implants.
g) Forensic odontology duties.

Patients who require treatment at the Oral Surgery department will need a referral letter from any nearest government/private dental clinics. Patients are encouraged to contact our department to get an appointment date.
