Family Health Development Unit
Family Health Development Unit (UPKK) is a unit under the Public Health Division, Other units include Disease Control Unit (UKP), Unit of Health Promotion and Education (UPPK), Legal and Inspectorate Unit (UIP) and the Food Safety and Quality Unit (UKKM).
Vision
UPKK vision is to ensure healthy family who enjoy a quality of life forever.
Mission
To achieve the vision of creating a healthy and happy family, UPKK mission is to implement the comprehensive family health services which are professional & caring, accessible and acceptable to all segments of society. Besides that UPKK will encourage individual and family health, promote awareness to the individual, as an important asset for healthy lifestyle and foster partnerships between public, private and non-governmental organizations.
Objectives
General objective is to enhance Family Health Services in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya and to enable families to achieve and maintain optimal health of the physical, mental and social.
Sub Unit
There are two units under UPKK :-primary health units and family health unit. Primary health care unit consists of Health Clinic (KK), and K1M while Family Health Care Maternal includes maternal and Child Health Clinic (KKIA) and the school team under JKWPKL & P. There are 15 health clinics, 17 KKIA and 6 1 Malaysia clinics under JKWPKL & P.
