Pharmacy Practice and Development provides efficient and comprehensive pharmacy services at the 2 Hospitals and 17 health clinics, focusing on the optimization of therapeutic pharmaceutical care quality and cost-effective clinical pharmacy services professionally and timely.

All hospital and clinic pharmacy counters are opened concept which guarantees fast, courteous and customer-friendly services with a waiting period of below 30 minutes. Pharmacy services in all clinics are open from 8 am until 5pm and some services are extended until 10.00 pm daily including weekends.

Easy access of drugs with the availability of Pharmacy Appointment System, the Integrated Drug Dispensing System (IDDS), Pharmacy SMS, TAKE N GO and Drug Postal 1Malaysia provided by all hospitals and health clinics in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya .

With a choice of services provided, patients can receive follow-up drug supplies without having to queue or going to the hospital or clinic.

• At Hospital Putrajaya and Jinjang Health Clinic, patients can drive and park their cars in front of the counter and collect their medications.
 

  • Collect, analyze and prepare statistical reports of QAP, PF, IDDS, Total number of prescriptions and patients, Drug and Consumables expenditure etc.
  • Distribute all types of guidelines, instructions, Policy and Circular letter received from Health Department Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya and Ministry of Health Malaysia to the parties involved.
  •  Assist and coordinate events, trainings and courses organized in Health Department Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya and Ministry of Health Malaysia.
  • Monitor, supervise and audit to all Pharmacy units in health clinics and hospitals.
  • Preparation and coordination of meetings under Pharmacy Practice and Development branch.
  • Represent in meetings and committees at Ministry of Health level, Department level and Inter-agencies.
